About us

The RTC commitment

  • We solve problems and make good things better.

  • We don’t push or pressure.

  • Consultations are always free.

  • There are no surprises: Prices and project details are submitted in writing for inspection before we do any work.

  • We communicate because construction is a fluid process (sometimes no one knows what’s behind that wall).

  • We clean up our messes (because that’s what mom said we should do).

  • We are fully licensed and insured.

What’s in a name?

We originally coined RTC as an acronym for “Roof to Cellar.” And of course we still service roofs, cellars and everything in between. However, as our business has expanded into commercial and institutional work, we now go by RTC Restoration and Remodeling. It pays homage to our residential roots but more accurately describes the full line of services we provide.

Who we are

RTC Restoration and Remodeling was founded by Washington native Steven Strain in Buckley. He has decades of diverse experience in the construction industry and has solved problems for hundreds of homeowners and commercial clients. Now accompanied by a growing team of service professionals, Steven is gratified when he can tangibly and functionally improve a client’s home or business.

Even after years in this industry, there’s still a thrill when you compare the before and after. There aren’t many professions where you can step back and look at the work you’ve accomplished and also know you’ve served someone. My team and I are blessed to do what we do.
